Claims

NC Grange Mutual will be there for you when the unexpected happens. Regardless of the scope of the loss, our team, your agent, and our experienced, independent adjusters will work to ensure that you and your claim are handled in a timely and fair manner.

No one expects a loss to occur. But when you suffer a loss to your home or business property, knowing what to do can make the experience less stressful. Our goal at NC Grange Mutual is to make sure each claim is handled in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

Filing a Claim

When the accident or property loss occurs, contact your agent as soon as possible to report it (if the loss is caused by theft, be sure to notify the police immediately). Your agent will then report the claim to the company so that it can be assigned a claim number. To make this process go as smoothly as possible, please have as much of the following information as possible:

  • Policy number
  • Phone Number
  • Date of loss
  • Address of location where loss occured
  • Description of damage (make a comprehensive list of damaged or stolen items)
  • Cause of damage
  • Police report number (if loss was caused by theft)

After contacting your agent and reporting the claim, make sure to protect your property from any further damage or loss (e.g. placing a tarp over a hole in the roof). If necessary, make reasonable temporary repairs to prevent further damage and keep accurate record of these repair costs.

Independent Adjusters

NC Grange Mutual uses independent adjusters in the claims process. This benefits you, the insured, by ensuring that the adjuster servicing your claim is experienced handling the specific loss you have incurred, is based in the area you are from, and has a wealth of experience servicing various insureds from many different companies.

Our independent adjusters are a critical component of handling your claim. By selecting the best of the best, you can rest assured that your claim will be handled in a timely and professional manner.
